Our CSR initiatives at URW contributes to a more sustainable future and each Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield employee contributes to the social, environmental and economic development of the communities in which the Group operates through various outreach schemes such as volunteering programmes like the URW Community Day, URW for Jobs Initiative and local partnerships, or by rolling out our CSR strategy. Our Better Places plan sets a clear, science-based net-zero target to achieve net zero across scopes 1 & 2 by 2030 and across all scopes by 2050, making us the first retail real estate company in the European Union and the sixth CAC 40 company to obtain the approval of the Science Based Targets initiative on its net-zero targets.

The URW Link, the Group’s open innovation platform identifies and builds innovative partnerships with start-ups, retailers, NGOs and many others. The URW Link sources the most relevant solutions externally, tests them concretely in our shopping centres and, if found relevant and successful, deploys them throughout Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s portfolio.

The URW Academy - the Group’s learning platform - provides a stimulating learning environment for all employees to ensure they achieve their development potential through knowledge acquisition and skill development.
